A new device named FlashQ has been custom designed for pushing the gas ionization chamber technology limits, in ultra-high dose rate applications. FlashQ is the first beam monitor specifically conceived for flash proton therapy!

A new device named FlashQ has been custom designed for pushing the gas ionization chamber technology limits, in ultra-high dose rate applications. FlashQ is the first beam monitor specifically conceived for flash proton therapy!

In June 2021, both FlashQ and NextQ (a DETECTOR all-in-one beam monitor for conventional particle therapy application), have been challenged with a highintensity particle beam thus to demonstrate the DETECTOR technology achievement in this field.

FLASH TECHNOLOGY

DETECTOR is approaching Flash-level signals thanks to design solutions including the last years R&D activity outcomes, resulting from a successful long-term vision technology development.
Having a device capable to operating in this field required hi-tech efforts and unique components, like the newest VLSI front-end electronics specifically developed for ultra-wide signal dynamic range and high charge resolution.

FLASH PARNTERSHIPS AND NEWS

DETECTOR recent developments, supported by the company strong scientific reputation, allowed joining the UHDpulse collaboration, a widely represented workforce for advanced radiotherapy using accelerated particle beams with ultra-high pulse dose-rates.
